    Hello from Florida.

Not new to the forum, but really getting into hammock camping so I think it's time I post. I've got questions to post soon unless I find them already answered. No camping allowed at the parks at this moment so I hang when I am cycling in the parks during the day. Hanging at home too with my Tensa4 and solo. Will be hanging in the porch soon when I install some anchors. I've owned some cheap hammocks and recently bought a Chameleon with a dyneema tarp. Going sil nylon next as the dyneema does not block much sun. Maybe it'll be good in the winter.

Too bad all the parks have been closed during our decent weather time. Soon it's gonna be hot and humid again at night, and I just can't deal with that. Looking to head to the Carolinas for some early summer hiking and camping if things open back up.

Welcome, I’m in FL also. Yea this virus pretty much did us in this season. Once things are back to normal I’m thinking about heading to the Red River Gorge

Greetings from N. Florida. I'm just waiting for things to open back up, in the mean time I'm hanging in the yard when I can.

I went to Hal Scott Preserve and hung out at the camp site by myself last weekend. Did some mountain biking, put up the hammock and ate lunch. You guys might want to check out the district owned lands around Florida. sjrwmd.com in my area.

That's my go to. Easy to get out there, except for full sun and no cover on a coquina fire road. Does the pitcher pump still work at the first primitive site? We noticed last year they had replaced it.

I looked up Hal Scott Preserve, the site said they were closed as of March 20th? Is that just the group sites?

If you are talking about White Loop Group campsite then yes. And it does look new.
