idk, but whatever sealer HG shipped with theirs worked great, flowed nicely.

I get my packages delivered to the office, so what I did was, over the weekend, spread the whole tarp out on the conference table and literally flood coated each entire panel-pull, not just the seams but the entire diamond out to ½" beyond the seams, then I did similar with the ridge-line. went back the next day, flipped it over and repeated. I have to say the giant conference table made this job super easy.

my tarp from UGQ, I ordered with the seam-sealed option.

I use a disposable craft brush brush to work the thinned sealer into the stitches, and to spread it evenly over the reinforcement patches. and I use cardboard templates to maintain an even perimeter around the spot I am working on. A bit anal.. I know. But it comes out looking perty..

+1 for your method MikekiM. I did same but used a couple of those cheap 1-2 inch foam brushes which cost less than a dollar at Home Depot in the paint section

I got help from the forum on this same question for my HG tarp last month. I used the seam seal sent with the tarp, thinned with mineral spirits, applied with cheap foam brushes, and used baby powder after the seal cured to avoid sticking when the tarp is packed. Because I thinned it I had more than enough to to seal both sides of the tarp - pulls and ridgeline. I figured since I was doing it I might as well go all out.

Well, one more data point for the OP: I thinned the stuff Warbonnet sent with coleman fuel as it evaporates fast and helped speed along drying. As others noted I got it to about the consistency of olive oil.

I also hung my tarp low but otherwise a tight as normal which it seems helps open up the “pores” in the seams and all I can say is I had no leaks. I sealed only the outside.

    Worth sharing...

If you do use one of the items mentioned to dilute the sealer, make sure you use a rigid and strong mixing vessel.. not a Styrofoam coffee cup. The mixture will eat right through the cup. Ask me how I know this...

I followed the how to video from warbonnet as closely as I could (literally had it open playing on my phone while I did it). Started off fairly light but realized how much I was going to have leftover so I went thicker and went back to do the sections I already did again. Even after that I still have between 1/4 and 1/3 of the tube left. Had my tarp out a few times in rain now (actually hung up in the garage right now drying out) and all seems well. Have to wait and see if it survives 3 days of heavy rain.

I mixed in small batches using a almond size dollop of silicone. I have quite a bit left over. And I was building two tarps at the same time.. If you're thinning it, it goes a long way

I can add that thinned it is more “in” the material than “on” the material. Again FWIW.
