Hey All from Antelope Valley and the Mojave Desert!

Hi all,

Just introducing myself here. The name's Gabriel. From London originally and grew up a cub and scout with the 4th Enfield troop. Moved to SoCal years ago and call the Angeles National my back yard. Mostly up around Wrightwood, Big Rock Creek and co.

Currently in testing with a new hammock setup and getting my back off the cold cold ground.

Worked in the film world as a grip for about 7 years so I'm home with ropes and knots. Another reason why I love hammocking.

Looking forward to getting my rig just right and heading into the pines for a goood night's sleep and some camp grub.

Thank you all for this community and the knowledge I've learned from yall. Especially Shug who's getting me through this stay at home stuff. Just grateful to have a yard to string my rig up.

Welcome terrian from another HH user. Any time is a good time to tweak your setup. I use my HH mostly in the winter - I find the integrated no-see-um bug netting too hot for me in the summer.

Hey oldpappy, happy to meet ya.

We're getting 90f up here in the high desert and yep, the bug net is quite the constrictor of flow. Luckily nights get cool over here in CA, so it's gonna be UQ and net closed for the nights. I do miss those warm VA nights y'all get out east when I was visiting my brother.

Gonna need a secondary for those bugless warm nights for sure.
