My granddaughter's first hammock

I finished my granddaughter's first hammock last night. I gave it to her this morning before work. It came out pretty nice. Bishop bag, polished Oak marlin spike strap suspension, knotty mods, and double layer for a pad.

Going to add a fronkey bug net and matching tarp before our first camping outing whenever the parks start reopening.

Looks great! I'm totally envious. Wish my folks would have taken me out for hammock camping when I was a lad.

It's only 9' but she is under 4' tall. Double layer 1.0 HyperD. First time I have used the HyperD. LOVE how soft it is and how well it sews. Button holes are a challenge on fabric this light but I decided to go that route on the knotty mods.

LOL, funny thing there, I camp with her dad more regularly than anyone else. (He is my son in law and one of my best friends.) I haven't talked him into trying a hammock yet. (In fairness though, I kind of like not fighting others for the best hanging spots on trips.)
