SLOVAKIA: finally rain in the woods

We are suffering from quite a long dry period over here. Especially at this time when the woods need it to grow green. Finally the rain arrived and quite a downpour with some wind. All night long and the strongest in the morning. Nice fresh air, the green even more, and beautiful walk through the misty giant forest.

More amazing photos! Just curious, do you have a lot of established trails that you hike into and camp on or are usually just camping in an open public forest?

We have established places to hang, our favorites, and we do new places as well. We also cross the woods and go outside the trails, and sleep where we like it.

Yes, my question/thought as well. Pics remind me of what one of my son's used to say when out in mysterious misty conditions: "the frost giants are on the move!"
