The head end l have done the same thing like my trail winder suspension but note it is important to use a fairly long lenght of shock cord l think l made a measurement about 2" long.... important to have extra so as not to cause stress on the Wooki..... there is also some fitted cord with a line lock and bina to make all adjustments from the head end.Attachment 180446Attachment 180447

I use my Wookis on non-Warbonnet hammocks all the time. They work perfectly. The magic of the Warbonnet hammocks is in the fairly long ridgeline and the design of the net / top cover. The hammock body is just a regular rectangle - just like any other GE hammock. The Wooki is also just a rectangular piece of fabric with insulation. Provided you get the extension right, it will work as well with any GE hammock as with the Warbonnet hammocks. Only if you wanted to use it on a shorter hammock it would be a bit of a bother, because you would have to whip it shorter.

With regards to the head position: this is also a non-issue. For one thing most other 11' GE hammocks (including DH) are longer than than the XLC / Eldorado, so you will need to extend the suspension. If you want the head further away from the head end, just make the head end extension longer until the insulation is where you want it. Secondly, I actually find most hammocks more comfortable when I lie closer to the head end. Maybe try it and see if it works for you as well.
