    Garage hang

I'm not sure why it took me 8 years to do this. After setting up a hammock in the basement, bedroom and then with a DIY bipod stand, this needed to happen too.

It's pretty nice to hang "sorta outside" even when it's cold or windy. Listen to the birds. Spy on the neighbors. Get some fresh air.

I have to say, I NAILED the hang on this one. I always use the calculator but for some reason this one is the most comfortable. 15.5' spacing, 4" higher on foot end. I guess and got SO lucky, straps missing that blue kayak by about 2" when loaded. I don't want to turn my walls into swiss cheese any further.

I first started hanging a hammock in the garage when I started to DIY them. It's easier to do bug nets with the hammock body hanging. Of course, that led to me hanging the hammock to play with suspensions, position quilts and.. well.. nap when I can.

I have some mule tape permanently hanging in there to make things easier.

My wife refuses to let me sleep in there..
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

It's nice to unclip a carabiner, and reclip onto the other hook. "Pile" up the fabric and set on top of that kayak. 6 second deployment!

Now I know why I need 6+ hammocks.

Looking good. Wow, that garage is clean compared to the mess I have out in mine. Never thought about hanging in the garage, but what the heck.

I have to say, after seeing that screen door thing, I'm now strongly considering it.

That is pretty unique! My neighbor has something that must have been a "roll-down" type. I never saw it set up; just a roll at the top that looks pretty messy. I'm guessing it no longer even functions.

With that screen door, all you'll need is a beat up couch and a case of PBR!
