Thanks for all the feedback! I could see how wind could be a tangle problem for a tarp CRL or tie-outs made out of this stuff unless one was very careful to keep tension as it's wound up.

I'm really liking this stuff, though, for "short length" uses like prusiks. The prusik's I made really bite on my Zing-it ridgeline. I've had trouble with Zing-it prusiks slipping.

I also spliced about a dozen 3" CLs out of the 1.4mm fishing line and attached them to aluminum gutter nails I'm using as tarp stakes. It's perfect for stake pull tabs.

A short length tied to another prusik attached to my hammock SRL helps me keep track of my pillow.

A couple of more CLs larks-headed onto the zipper pulls of my bug net makes it easier to find those.

I'll keep playing with it and see how it holds up over time. If I learn any disadvantages (besides the potential tangle problem) I'll post again.
