Hey. In regards to the pic over the trail, that's not a trail, it's his backyard, as in his literal backyard. I set up my own tarp with him on those same trees.
I have one of his tarps. I'm currently thru hiking the PCT. I actually enjoy the straight cut for the times I had to go to the ground in the desert and it was windy. And the ridgline being straight seems to have no affect. You can see pics of it set up on my Instagram @falconlitehikes.
And I'm pretty sure the tarps no longer being available has to do with a combo of the pandemic and the struggle to get cuben at the moment. Last he told me he had a really high month waiting time.
It's very comparable in size with my old winter palace that a giant ice chunk in Idyllwild blew through, except the doors are way bigger.
