Sleeping bag turned top quilt with a twist

I’ve been using a big agnus 15 degree bag in the hammock for a while now. Last year I got a burrow and that became my main top quilt. Being stuck at home during this virus stuff mixed with a little stir crazy can make a man do strange things. Like cutting upa perfectly good sleeping bag and take on a sewing project when I don’t even know how to thread a machine. Yeah my first time to sew. Probably not the best way to start out but I’m stir crazy remember

So the idea was to keep the built in pad holder from the knees down so that works like a foot box and gives a place for a pad if you do a 3/4 UQP. I don’t have one but have been wanting to try one out. Anyway not the prettiest but here she is.
