I've been wondering if there would be any way of making something like this a double width, and prevent two people from ending up on top of each other... I've got a couple of ideas on that.

Look, what Luke himself says about the story: http://www.hammocktent.com/en/pages/our_story
Omnia vincit lectulus pensilis.
Thanks for the link............. I didn't find anything on making a double...... What I was thinking of is running a very taut ridge line from tree to tree, and having some extra fabric with loops running the length of the hammock.... or part of it. It would only be about 100mm tall, and you would have a set of lines that connected to the ridgeline that you could clip to loops and tension to the ridge line so that it would pull up the center of the hammock into a sort of slightly elevated "hill" between the two sleepers. This ridge line would serve ONLY for this purpose, and be in addition to the regular ridge line. Two people in a tent, can maintain space.... In a hammock it's not quite so easy. I pack with people I have no desire to cuddle with, and a double hammock would be more efficient than two complete setups in terms of weight.

We all have our special 'talents'. Personally, I like to constantly interrupt others, tell the same story over and over, produce egregious gas, impress others by knowing everything, having a story just one notch better than yours, and much to my kids delight, make slurping noises while enjoying a cup of coffee.
