Another great video Shug. I've been using the hangtime hook for a few years. Still have the first version that was made on the 3D printer. Love laying back before going to sleep and watching a movie. Plus a great place to keep my phone overnight. Easy to check the time when I wake up.

I probably won't use mine below about 40°. The cold really kills the battery (both at the moment of use and permanently). So maybe an iPhone quilt is in order? No, too crazy but I won't put it past anyone here.

Otherwise I sleep with it on my chest or next to torso (where it falls anyway)

I too have a couple of the old rough 3D ones. Really like it for holding a fan.

Never brought it on trail yet. Need a nifty little box for protection.

I wondered about that. I assumed the ball can pop in/out easily like my old GPS holder. I hope, since that would at least let it pack somewhat flat.

That is what I would do in summer for holding a fan. Rather not even take the time to disassemble it though. Easy enough to make a protection box or slide it in mesh pocket of pack I reckon.

You can see it hanging at top of this video. But I think you could turn it enough to see a movie and turn your head a bit.

Perfect thanks Shug. I will give it a try when my Hook gets here.

Hangtime Hook and WB Ridgerunner?

Hi Shug and fellow hangers! Has anyone been able to figure out an effective and clean way to modify your WBRR to use a hangtime hook? Im concerned about putting a tear in the bugnet by running a faux ridgeline through it. I’ve seen some people mention that they have had WB sew in rings on the inside of the bugnet suspension points, however I would like to see my options before shipping it back. Has anyone has been able to do this or have any suggestions????

Not sure what to tell you for the RR. Seems a few folks have rigged up a ridgeline on theirs.
Threads on RR ridgeline:

Shug Thank you. It seems to be a lil of a finagle but I’m gonna attempt it! Like the post says i can always take it off if I don’t like it. Thanks for your time Shug! Been watching you for a long time now! Your videos and also your interview on HYOH, especially, have been very inspirational!
