It seems you may be the first!
Did you get in the hammock and give it a go?
Make sure to film that.

Very tidy solution...
Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.

It looks clean and seems like it should work fine, in theory. I am not sure I would trust it to hold my big butt up while I thrash around in a hammock. But, like Shug, I would love the video of you testing it out.
Oooh, shiney! What does THIS button do?
I think it'd work fine, but if you simply slipped the CL thru the MSH and then put the strap "bundle" or a single bight thru the CL it would work even better.
Which would be a J-bend!

YeahYeahYeah... like the old "LIFE" cereal ad. "Let Flash try it! He'll try ANYthing!"
I shall give it the old college try, or the old Coolidge trial, or the old Kool-Aid trail, or whatevz...
The real shame is that Shug ain't living close enough to do the videography. I suspects that he and I could work up something worthy of Carl and The Maple King. I don't even know how to add music... it's gonna need the Theme from JAWS at least.
In all seriousness though, I have been giving it a pretty good bouncing around already. Since the "Spider Webbing" is quite soft and flexy, the CL loops pinch down tightly and snug back parallel to each strand. This puts the whole load on the strap itself and solidly "behind the knot".
It might work less well with the fewer loops to tuck back if you had to use very long tree-to-hammock distances.
