Hanging in the time of Covid-Ohio version

So, I just saw Dewine closed state park "facilities". The report I saw included campgrounds, but didn't specifically include dispersed camping...Just thought we could use a place to call out any camping areas that remain open as this pandemic progresses.

I asked Hoosier National Forest on this and they told me that though campgrounds and marinas are closed that trails are open and dispersed camping in groups less than 10 were allowed. We are. Ow a shelter in place state but in theory backcountry is still allowed.

Please keep this on topic of the closings due to the virus and don't stray into a discussion of the virus and all the things your government is closing that is not hammock related. Other posts have already been closed because they became totally off topic.

If you would like to have a coronavirus discuss feel free to start one in the donating member area.

    Thank you.

Good reminder and I'll emphasize to all that we're just looking for info on areas that are open for planning purposes. In Ohio, we're currently allowed to travel for outdoor exercise, so I'd really like to know about open places to head to.

Took off from the house on my gravel bike and managed to get a night in the hammock. Peaceful night near a stream and no whippoorwills.F3A7D796-2464-4505-AF08-0C10C77D94F0.jpgBD037CA0-0328-467F-9322-6ED2F2979662.jpgA1F20995-0492-48A4-83E6-41705FE10B2F.jpg

Yeah, camp 2 “it’s closest to my house” . The backpack trail is still open for use. I saw several people using it in different locations. I was going to go to a nice spot I know by the Ohio River but the water was too high.
