Amber burnt hole in my super fly?

Amber from a fire landed and burnt a hole in my wife’s superfly tarp 30d silnylon. Any way to patch it?
    Thanks

Seam seal a patch on with some spare silnylon or if the hole is small just maybe seam seal alone will work.

Per Shug, a small patch will work.

You can use this stuff or GE Silicone II thinned with mineral spirits to glue it on. Only need a very tiny amount. Takes a while to dry/cure, but once it's done it's really stuck forever!

Dang that Amber gets around — she burnt a hole in one of my tents a few years ago!

I used Tenacious Tape Max from Gear Aid, mine tear happened early last year when a stick fell in a wind storm. It's flexible and UV resistant and still going strong I place a piece on both sides like a sandwich.. Give it a try, purchased it from Amazon.

scotch tape can make a VERY temporary fix... apply it dry though, don't expect it to stay when you pack. if you have seam seal, you can sacrifice any cloth you have to apply an even coat with it to make a patch. first consider if you need to. if it's not anywhere above your hammock... who cares? just let it go, and do a really great patch at home

This may work. I’ve never used it so if you try it and it doesn’t then sorry!

You want their new patches for silicone fabric if you are going the Gear-Aid route.

Amber burnt hole in my super fly?

I ordered one of these patch kits from Warbonnet for a similar repair on my SuperFly and have enough left material for at least one or two more patch jobs. Also, the patch was a perfect match for the color of my tarp.

I burned a small hole in my tarp during construction ... lesson learned, halogen lamps get hot. I now have a high intensity LED lamp.

To repair I would go with Shugs comment, cut a small patch (have a generous overlap margin) and put in on using thinned silicone (think seam seal) and place it between 2 flat surfaces over night. Open it next day and let dry another day before packing .... oh, and do use a non stick on the flat surfaces.
