Flyin Eyeball, welcome from down the trail aways.
Watch Shug’s ten part video series-How to hang a hammock, tarp, insulation...
Go to at least two group hammock hangs, you will find these posted on Hammock Forums.
There is a fun learning curve on comfortable hammock camping.
The two most common obstacles to your comfort are called CRP and CBS
CRP is calf ridge pressure. Shug has a video with cures for CRP. Mainly it’s caused by hammock being too short. I personally recommend getting gathered end hammock 11 feet long at a minimum. My hammock is 12x6, although not for everybody, there is close to zero calf ridge pressure.
CBS, cold butt syndrome is caused by inadequate insulation. Shug has excellent videos on insulation for your hammock.
Lastly you gotta know how to hammock speak in morning after your coffee?!?!
    Aaaaaiiiiighttttt!!!!

Welcome to the world of hammocks, where you don’t have to be crazy...but it helps!

Welcome to the forums. Tons of great info here and the extra $10 to become a donating member is well worth it. Lots of great Intel in the secret archives. Get out to a group hang sometime and you'll meet plenty of good people!
