KY > Corbin @ Daniel Boone April 2-5

Hi all! I’ll be staying near Corbin Kentucky and don’t really see much on a AllTrails for places to hike in and camp. Anyone have any experience in that area? We’d likely just be out one night while we are down there. Thanks!

The bad thing is that you cant camp on the edges of laurel lake if it is on the army corps property. The dbnf property is a bit of a short hike with no real parking. You can camp off the Sheltowee trace in a few places. Levi jackson park in london has some perfect trees, but idk what the city is going to allow now that they have taken over. Our local ranger had mentioned at one point a couple of decent places, but after checking them out they weren't good.

Are you dead set on it being Corbin?

There is one really awesome place to hike in. It is in london off of hwy 1956. The hawk creek swinging bridge, and it's a beautiful spot.

Thanks to both of you! Yep I’ll be in that area because the family will be there. I’ll check out that place by London. I found a trail called Bark Camp that hikes in to Sheltowee Trace from the East.

Bark camp is good, but you may have to hike past the cascades, check out the trail to Vanhook, might find better options. The trail to bark camp cascades is a down hill most of the way
