    Awesome, Shug.

My favorite time of the day/night. Right at dusk with a little light left in the night sky. But dark enough to need a..... hurricane lamp.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

It was based on a shoot I was on in the Okefenokee Swamp. Added a bit of artistic liberties......

Thanks. Since I never DIY gear anymore, as I have so much, this occupies my mid-day hours.

Interesting piece. Very different from your first set. I studied this for awhile and very much enjoyed the distraction. The fun of looking at art is it creates different ideas and story's for each person looking and this painting is a good piece of mental-floss for the ole noggin.

When I start these things usually I throw a bunch of paint on to fill the canvas and cover it. Then go back and paint over mostly. Often I go back to liking the rough paint I first put on. Was trying to keep that feel and less leaning toward realistic if I could.
This is like learning to hammock....an evolution.
    Thanks for the words.

I've searched online for hammock paintings and found many, but most were spreader bar type hammocks. Not very many camping hammocks at all. Did find this one watercolor.....https://www.etsy.com/listing/5457366...atercolor-fine
I want to see camping hammocks and underquilts and tarps!

Now my brushes are starting to stroke out some hammock art. Only two so far but plans for many more.
And the Maple King of course.

All acrylic. Two on canvas. Maple King on foamcore board (all I had laying around)

Thanks for taking a peek at them.
    Winter scene next.

    Hammock Napping in BWCA 24x18

Love "Hammock Napping" & "Vermont Hammock Landscape" !!! Add me to the list who may be interested in prints.
Until then, I think I"ll head outside from my Work From Home office to enjoy the MN dampness this evening out of the ol' hammock.
The cool spring and fall are my fav seasons here in MN... although I subscribe to the "at least 1 night a month, year round" crowd.... It's been a good habit, just to keep on, keeping on.

    Well done!!
