    Opinions Please...

What are the pros and cons for the Asym Vs Sym bug-nets on the Dutchware Chameleon...??

I have only the asym, and sometimes I find it annoying that the non-net shoulder pulls up so high and blocks my view.

I have the Asym net and the Moonlight cover (symmetrical). I find it slightly easier to get a good lay in the Moonlight, you can switch lay direction (I don't use the tieouts) as well which is handy (I can sleep either way). View wise they seem similar to me, but that maybe because I don't use the tieouts? That's probably not that helpful though because there is no view to compare at the footend which maybe different? A downside of the Symmetrical often mentioned is the tendency for the extra fabric/netting to fall inwards especially without the tieouts, it's not something that bothers me for the most part. A symmetrical net may behave differently to the Moonlight? I have been thinking about getting a symmetrical bugnet because I prefer the lay in the Moonlight over the Asym net for some reason, which I cant really explain, other than it appears to feel a little more comfortable to me.

If by non-net side you mean the opposite side to where your head is the view is definitely more obstructed on that side in my experience using the Moonlight top. I would say there isn't much difference between the two in that respect. From memory using the tieouts doesn't really help improve the view from that perspective either.

I have the Chameleon Wide with the symmetrical bugnet. You're welcome to try it out at the Harold Hang is you like.

The alternative is that you have more loose bug net hanging on you. I have both and only use the asym. You could always try a bridge that has unobstructed views from both sides.

That is just the way gathered end hammocks are. The net is not doing that. A GE hammock without a net has that same wall of fabric.
