    New Guy NC

Finally registered up and needed to say thank you for all the advise that I've garnered from the site already.
New to hammock camping and a recovering tent dweller.
Just found out about the local hang this weekend and I'm scrambling to see if I can make it work or at least a day visit. Hope to meet some of you fine folks soon.
I just recently picked up a Darien from Dream (11' 1.7mtn wide) and under quilt from HG. My wife is looking at me a little funny for napping in the yard, so I clearly need to get out on the trail soon.
Fell down the rabbit hole of Shug's videos too. (Thanks Shug)
    Good to be here.

Welcome Jim! I am pretty new as well and have enjoyed all the knowledge and expertise the forum offers. I am over in North East TN about 3 hours from you. When I get a chance to go backpacking, I try to do small sections of the AT if you are ever interested in jumping in sometime.

Thanks. Always looking for someone to shuttle with too. Hope we might get that opportunity sometime.

    Welcome from Charlotte.
Nice thing about most hangs is you can just throw stuff in the car and sort it out at the hang.
