Do you find that the Hudson River keeps you as warm as the rating? (Minus the 20* difference Bill speaks of)

I've been sleeping in my Happy medium every night for almost a week now.
I haven't even told Bill yet how happy I am!
So not a lot of testing, but I was concerned about the underquilt thing.
But once I got the hammock set up, total non-issue.
I tried my SLD Trail winder, which I suppose is fabric CLEWS, sort of....
    It worked fine.
I've been using a DIY down, plain Jane rectangular quilt as my normal quilt do far.
The up and over things are the ticket to keep it sealed in the curve.
I tied a piece of shock cord loop to the loop on the quilt. Because shock cord holds its shape. Then I cut the gate latch off the up-n-over mitten hook. So it's just an open hook on the passager side that I get in and out of. It just made it a little more convenient.

My quilt have kept a good seal with minimal fusing or adjustment.
And I toss and turn A LOT.

My quilts I never was able to make work on my Banyan Bridge, but the structure of the Banyan is vastly different, but then up-n-over hooks might help it too.

If you don't have grosgain loops midship on your quilt and don't want to sew, I bet a mini paper binder clip would do the trick for an attachment point too.

I've found that Slugger's method works amazingly to fit an incubator with Triangle Thingys

A jrb mount Washington quilt works well- with a few suspension modifications! You will want to add some loops at the center of the sides of the hammock- so you can add a line of shock cord to anchor to the ridge line. (So it pulls the center of the uq up towards the hammock.and prevent cbs). Easy mod- works well!

FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.
