    My over kill set

I live in florida and got a 0° under with a 10° top, and it is awesome. Coldest temp so far has been 30° and it was so nice waking up so warm in it. I'm hoping to get some colder temps next winter in Sipsey wilderness or up around linville gorge. I love the set and think they are well worth the weight to anyone looking for a name to buy from.

lol should be warm with that.

Might consider a lighter set when June arrives in your neck of the woods.

Last summer was my 1st season of hammock camping and during the heat of the New England summer my set-up was a $20 70 degree sleeping bag that packs down to about the size of a Nalgene bottle and a waterproof flannel picnic blanket. I would put the picnic blanket in the hammock. The flannel was soft and it was windproof to keep me from getting cold butt syndrome. I used the sleeping bag as a top quilt. When the weather got cooler, I swapped the picnic blanket for a 20 degree Outdoor Vitals Aeries UQ. That and the 70 degree bag kept me warm down to the low 40's, sleeping in a sweatshirt and sweatpants.

My buddy on the other hand is a cold sleeper slept in thermals, a wearable sleeping bag and a 20 degree bag as a top quilt in his Amok. And still complained about the cold if the temp dropped into the mid 50's.

I think I would turn into a puddle with your overkill setup. :-)

I am glad you like the quilts but for me sweating in too much insulation is just a miserable as freezing.
The whole you can vent never worked for me. I prefer the right temp quilts for the temps I am hanging in. YMMV

I love love love my minus 40 Carolina reaper from them, once it gets to be around 20 degrees at night I have that big girl out, or if it going to be a wet damp 40 at night I have it out. Just saving up to by the mate to it now, minus 40 top quilt. But I live in WI and am an avid winter camper. not sure I could handle your hot temps down there.... Rock on hope you keep loving it

I was in my overstuffed zero degree set of LL quilts and had to vent when I first entered (it was about 50°F) but by 2am I was warm and snug. It was a fun trip.

My set up consists of a Jarbridge UQ and a DIY Costco Down TQ. This works for 90% of my trips. I can usually stay comfortable down to 45degF with varying layers of clothes. I haven’t sprung for warmer set yet.

I’m in south Louisiana, so we’re on the same latitude.
