Has anyone come up with heat-reflecting tarp with this material?

in my backyard hangs with turtledog stand I often wonder if anyone ever came with solution to use this material to block the sun and reduce heat when in porch mode

when there's no clouds and no winds it often intolerable to stay inside

I'm like most of you. I have a roll purchased several years ago. Cozys and Sit pads and that's just about it. I took 3 to deer camp a few season ago, and they all disappeared into people's field bags and never came back. I've also slipped a pad inside my jacket a few times when exposed on one side or the other to a little wind.

I remember a hang many years ago and someone broke out a full length Refletix pad. Didn't look too comfy and bit of a struggle getting on top of it right, but he didn't freeze or drown!

I rarely deal with cold spots, but when I did that sit pad made a real difference. You can't feel it...but you know where it is. Warm there.

What about putting a layer of those cheap mylar space blankets on top of one? It will block the breathability but you’ll have the tarp high enough that won’t be a problem. The mylar will reflect the heat. You can attach by making a lump by pressing something like a wooden bead against the mylar and tarp and securing it with a rubber band - four corners or more.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

A large tarp folded in half with an air gap between or 2 tarps with a small space between make a much cooler shade. I've used my Kelly Noah's tarp 12ft folded in half with good success in full sun. Think of it as filtering out like 50% of the uv/ heat with the first layer and then halving it again with the second and the air gap allows the air in between to dissipate heat. Having the top layer reflective would certainly up the efficiency. If just for use in the backyard, a cheap silver plastic tarp would do the trick.
