    I'll ask this out of ignorance...……

    When hiking in the Whites, is it possible to hang a hammock inside a shelter?

    Yup. I've done it at Sawyer Pond, Camp Penacook, Beaver Brook, most of the shelters south of Moosilauke, and I'm sure others that I'm forgetting. That said, there have been a few that I have been unable to hang in due to space constraints or lack of suitable anchor points.

    Edit: I should note that I've only ever done it in winter. In summer you're likely to have company.
