I like that you spread the Vendor-Love around.

My tip.....Be patient with the whole process. Concentrate on getting the hammock hung correctly and finding your sweet spot.
Get a good fit on the UQ. No gaps.
    Enjoy your hammock quest.

What Shug said, of course. :-) I’d also recommend finding a place around the house (basement, garage, yard, etc.) where you can practice putting it all together, just like you would with a new tent. I know I had a learning curve with Whoopies, for example.

+1 on Shug's comments: Really cool that you hit up so many different vendors. You've got equipment that a lot of folks, including me, would be jealous of. You're not going to get it perfectly right the first time you try, so practice, practice, practice. There really is a steep learning curve with hammock stuff. Give yourself several months, maybe a year, to really wring it out before you start major changes. Tweaks, sure, but learn the ins and outs of your gear thoroughly now that you've got it.

    And have fun!

I like to stuff the Top Quilt into the Peak Loft. Quick reentry by kicking up the feet, sliding the foot box over your feet and stretching out.
After getting up for short breaks at night you will come back and find the quilt has retained some warmth.

Very nice. And what Shug says: be patient.

Definitely concentrate on getting the hammock set up properly. One of the first things I ran into was calf ridge which was solved by raising the foot end higher.

For the underquilt, it helps to have someone make the adjustments while you're in the hammock.

Another recommendation would be to try out left and right lays by flipping the asym bugnet around. Sleep in it a few nights and see how it goes. I have an asym but probably should get a symmetrical since I tend to toss and turn at night and wake up when I try to switch lays. However, I find that alcohol helps with going comatose at night.

Oh, and a set of earplugs just in case a nearby whippoorwill decides to sing for you. Until sun up.

I loved Whippoorwills when I lived in the South. From a distance, they were relaxing. I imagine that could be different if you're in the woods with them.

It kills me waiting on gear to arrive. It looks like you have a pretty amazing setup coming, though. Good hanging!
Oooh, shiney! What does THIS button do?
