    Permethrin Steal

Bargain of the day...while walking through Home Depot today I passed the end-cap where they sell clearance items on the cheap. Something caught my eye and I couldn't believe it. They were selling 24 oz. w/ trigger spray bottles of Sawyer Permethrin for......wait for it....... $0.38. Yep - 38 cents per 24 oz bottle. The regular Home Depot price was $15.97. On sale for 98% off!!!

So needless to say I scooped up all four bottles they had. Even price-checked them up front & verified they were in fact 38 cents each. Sorry for the sideways pic!

With 4 bottles in my possession now I think I'm ready...bring on them ticks! Side-note: Never ever have I had ticks on me when I used permethrin on my clothes. I also use picaridin lotion on my exposed skin.

I found Permethrin-treated long-sleeve shirts on clearance in the hunting department at WalMart for five bucks. The label says the treatment is good for 70 washings!! Like the knucklehead I am, I only bought one...

Darn, looks like it is a local-ish event. The store in my town knew nothing about it nor had any on clearance; not even on the shelf at regular price. As Home Depot is usually a bit of a drive away, it would be best to call first.

NICE!!!! Even after making my own with the concentrate, I still trust this premix stuff a lot more.

I stop by my local Home Depot an the way home tonight. They had five 9oz. aerosol cans for $.24 each. They were located in the garden department near the insecticide area. Thank you for posting Slugger.

I think they were clearing out old dusty stock to make room for shiney new packages. But at 38 cents for a 24oz bottle, I care very little about dust on the box!

Same. Just bought a bottle, but now I gotta go check my local HD clearance area.
