    Tarp suspension line

    Hi Everyone,
I am new to Hammock camping, and the variety of guylines to choose from is daunting. What kind of 1.75 mm line should I buy for use with my tarp ticks, dutch flyz or stingerz? In the market place there is Lash It, Zing It, Reflect It, paracord, utility cord, etc. What kind and brand will work the best for use with my hardware and tarp suspension?

Go with Zing-it or Lash-it, essentially the same, as it will not stretch. Paracord and the like is nylon and will leave your tarp limp.

My ridgeline of choice for years has been two pieces of Zing It 10’ to 15’ long with Dutch Flyz. I prefer Flyz over Stingers so I can move them along the line for longer hangs.

I have one tarp set up with Flyz and Stingers. The Stingers are used for short hangs and to allow me to move the ridgeline to different tie out points for switching between an A frame pitch and a lean to pitch.

^^^^This. Same thing just different colors. Most common is 1.75mm and 2.2mm. 1.75mm is more than sufficient and more widely compatible with common line "bling".

Lawson Equipment makes some very good products for tarp guy lines, ridgelines, etc.

    Highly recommended.
