Hello all,
I have a knife that is near and dear to my heart that comes with me on most trips. I am looking for someone to make me a nice sheath that could also hold a fire steel. Does anyone have anybody local that they like?

Local? Why that requirement?
Fallkniven makes knife sheaths though it looks like he's hiking the Pacific Crest Trail until the fall.

Local is a preference, I like being able to shake the hand of someone who makes a high quality item if possible.
I have a guy, but wouldn't be local for you (Vancouver, WA). Does custom leather work, excellent craftsman and above all, incredibly reasonable pricing. He does a few stock sheaths for common knives (ie., TOPS and Mora's, etc) he sells on eBay you can take a look at (link to his eBay seller eBay).
Ferro rod is not a nathan4071's, but actually pretty decent (vs. China bulk) and shockcorded for one hand attachment/release to the sheath or belt.
I can PM his personal contact info if you want it.
Here's a custom job he did on my strongarm. Nice attention to detail.... ie., drainage hole, and even did the small V-notch cuts to match. Fit's like a glove with absolutely no wiggle, but also no binding. In-n-out like butta'. It was a couple years ago, but at the time, all told... I was in it for for right around 45 bones, delievered.

Edited: Slip lanyard is my own and the dangler is on a split lock ring... easily removeable.
I would love that thank you!!
