Thanks for the info about the TalentCell battery. I bookmarked it on Amazon. You are right, that price is WAY more reasonable than the Medistrom battery, which I already have.

    CPAP/Battery Pak - grams/ounces
    Resmed Airmini - 294/10.4
    Mask & Hose - 109/3.8
    Adapter cable (Medistrom) - 24/0.8
    TalentCell 24V LI Battery PB240A1 - 416/14.7
    Total - 843/29.7

I’ve used this on several trips and usually get 3 nights use out of one battery. The Airmini is an autoset machine and I generally set it for max pressure of 6 or 7. The most difficult piece to get is the Medistrom adapter cable. I got it with the Medistrom battery setup, however the TalentCell battery is lighter, cheaper and lasts longer than the very expensive Medistrom battery. I think you can just buy the adapter cable, but it is outrageously priced at around $50. Here is a pic of my entire setup.

Steve: did the stock cables from the talentcell work with your cpap? I have a transcend and bought the talent cell batteries and now find I need a cable to connect the two...

The stock cables included with the talentcell wouldn't connect to the resmed airmini. I don't know what cable you need for the transcend, the plug in for the airmini is proprietary. You probably need an adapter cable like this that I used to attach the tallentcell battery to the airmini.

Steve, begging your pardon, but did the AirMini cable that was supplied with the Medistrom battery also work with the Talentcell battery, or did you have to buy a seperate cable to connect to the Talentcell?

The AirMini adapter cable supplied with the Medistrom battery works with the Talentcell battery. Sorry if this wasn't clear.

I am using a resmed s9 (its huge buts what i have) and an antigravity ps-45 which is 3lbs but powers my machine for 3 eight hour nights.

I hang it all from my ridgeline in mesh bags via prussic shackles.

No problem, thank for clarifying that. When my Medistrom battery needs to be replaced, I will get the Talentcell battery. Cheaper and more capacity.

That's bulky and heavy for sure, but hey if it works, it works. And if it gets you out and enjoying life, then it's fine. Somewhere back in this thread is a picture of my previous "travel" setup. Much the same as yours, just with a ResMed S10, and portable car jump start batteries with a 12v outlet adapter plugged in to them.

Yeah i am a moto camper so mass/volume is limited for me but not nearly like for a deep country backpacker.

I would like to get a travel cpap, but its hard to justify the $700 to save cut 2/3 space from my s9.

Also, the talentcell battery is quite a bit lighter 14.6oz (414g) vs 19.8oz (560g) for the medistrom.
