was there any discussion / decision made on group meal or no?
we are ok either way - EGL generosity I've come to learn means there is always something to be shared regardless whether group effort or not.

Re. Group meal, I didn't see anybody but me & Jayson respond ... but I'm hoping Chard overlooks that & extrapolates from our replies!
There has been some contradictory info floating around about the need to check in at a permit office. I finally found this (below). Good news since the Rock Lake office doesn't open until 11 am! A printed, redacted copy on your dash is also a good idea.
I spoke with our Chowdah guy, aka Chard, and since interest seemed low, he hasn't done any shopping for it.
I however, in anticipation of turning the Clam Chowdah into a Seafood Chowder, have freeze dried 900g of minced clams, 600g of sous vide scallops, and over a 1.2kg of sous vide shrimp.
If there's interest in a Seafood Chowder, bring a potato or two (carrots and celery wouldn't hurt either) and speak up, otherwise Chard won't bring the soup pot, and my seafood might fall into my ramen before soup night. For anyone coming in for the weekend, some cream would be helpful.
Also, I'm going into the park this Monday so will be afk from Monday morning.
Need to get something in Canada out on the west already
I'm in for Chowder of any description. Potato & carrot in the barrel!
Count me in. Potato and carrot will be in KWK's barrel.
Is there a prepicked campsite on Louisa? I may take a daytrip that way and it's a big lake
No campsite has be pre-picked thus far. It would be nice to get one along the north shore or possibly one of the Island Sites. I pretty sure us "Loopers" will be taking the 1725m portage into Florence, a campsite on the west end of the lake would be favourable.
I am in for the chowda as well, Potato and Carrot will be in my barrel, hanging in the trees with KWK barrel.
Also, I finally figured out the how to Geofence Jeff's- Maps , If anyone is interested in a georeferenced TIFF file of Algonquin to load onto their device shoot me a PM.

Planning on showing up on thursday on pen lake. Non looper. Anything heavy required for the chowda will be in KWK barrel. lol
No really, what could I bring in? Maybe catch a fresh lake trout ? Like that could happen on Pen lake.
Bread, butter and garlic perchance ?
No signs,no fees,no rules, nobody. My kind of campsite.
