Today in Algonquin. Worth the wait.
Just a note on this trip, Brantwing and I are going in to Penn Lake to day trip from there, for the week. The 3 kilometer slog just seemed about 10 m too far, if anyone else is in the same boat, there will be a few on Penn for the same period.

I was going to ask for site recommendations, as of now, I was looking at the same site as we went to last time. I believe it was the first one after the only other portage on the lake (that is largely because that is the only site I have ever been to there.
So suggestions would be helpful, plus I am going to try and make up a HF logo style flag, but may not get that done.

We plan on having a orange / black bandana visible - but have never been to Pen so have no idea what sites are like. We will be tenting this one.
I've never been either, but vaguely recall previous EGL hangs on the east shore about halfway down. Perhaps around #6 or #7? Unfortunately not included on this inventory. Ideally with a nice western/southern exposure for afternoon sun and two sites reasonably close together to accommodate everybody.
Since we're coming in from the portage to Welcome, we'll probably just head over to the eastern shore and work our way up until we find you.
Quiet - Thank yee much sir.
Gives good idea of what to expect.

Using Quiets link, I believe we were at #6 .... I remember getting firewood on the portage trail and dragging it back to camp, so that is about the only place we could have been.
Regardless, we will check that one out and try to make our presence obvious.
