    Synthetic options

What are the best options for a synthetic under quilt. I'm looking for one in the 20 degree range.

I bought one recently. It's like a synthetic wookie. The design ensures a good fit, with no gaps or cold spots.

One that I'd nominate for consideration would be the Jarbidge from Arrowhead Equipment. The more I use it the better I like it. I've got the 3-season version and have slept comfortably down into the low 20s on numerous trips, and once down to 18 degrees, though that's pushing things a bit. I'm fairly short at 5'9" and find the 3/4 length gives me coverage from neck to ankles. Arrowhead also makes full length quilts too but I have no experience with them.

Specs for the Jarbidge are listed on their website, and best I can recall the listed weight is accurate.

Checkout Cedar Ridge Outdoors UP quilts. UP is a cluster synthetic that has a closer feel to down than the usual synthetic sheets. Lots of folks at the PSH hang last weekend had UP quilts and were really happy with them.

I have a couple of UP quilts on order from Cedar Ridge to give them a try. Looking forward to see how they compare to down in both weight and packability. I haven't been a fan of the sheet style synthetics.

Here's the prototype of the Dragons Breath that we made in 2018 before the Up! insulation first became available.

It's performed admirably and to this day we haven't seen any degradation in the insulation. Up until this point (no pun intended) we haven't offered it due to a lack of storage space in my shop. Until I decide how I want to showcase it on my website our quilts can be ordered with UP! in place of 800 fp duck down. Just make a note at checkout that you want UP! as your insulation.

Looks and sounds great. Have you slept in this UQ yet? How does it feel compared to comparable down?

I second the Simply Light Designs. I have 1 in 40* and one at 20* that is full rectangular. Love them both. No fiddle factor no air gaps.
