    The Cast Iron Chef’s Hang III

    April 24 thru 26, 2020. Denmark ME


    This is the second hammock hang requesting all cast iron cookware for cooking.
    The challenge is to cook a meal on cast iron cookware for this hammock hang.
    Cooking with Cast Iron in not a requirement but the theme for this event is "Cooking with Cast Iron".

    We have hammocks for display from various hammock vendors;
    Hennessy = Deep Jungle Zip XL and Standard Rainfly
    TNH Outdoors = Double Camping Hammock, No Tarp
    Tree to Tree, Trail Gear = 1.9 DL(double layer) Switchback hammock and a full coverage cat cut tarp
    Warbonnet = double layer 1.7 XLC (now called the heavyweight double rated to 400)
    Warbonner = Ridgerunner double layer
    Dream Hammock = Sparrow, Double Layer
    AMOK = AMOK Draumr 3.0
    ENO = SuperSub Hammock, Helios XL Suspension System, ProFly Sil Rain Tarp
    Grand Trunk = Hammock
    Jacks ‘R’ Better = Bear Mountain Bridge Hammock

    We also have a few tarps for display from various hammock vendors:

    Warbonner = Thunderfly
    Hennessy = Hex Symmetric Rainfly 70D Polyester - Leaf Green(Cactus)
    We have some door/raffle prizes that we are working on also.
    If any vendors would like to help with door prizes, please contact me.
    Please offer ideas and suggestions to help make this hang fun and successful.

    There is no cost for this hang/event, it's free.

    We have plenty of trees for hammocks.
    We have plenty of flat field space for tents too.

    Notes:
    - Cell Phone Coverage: There is no problem with coverage with Verizon or US Cellular. I can’t speak for any of the other providers.
    - There are no reservations required. We have a large wood lot. It will be on a first come, first to pick your spot process.
    - There is a community fire pit.
    - Parking: We have plenty of parking in our fields.
    - Dogs are welcome but we ask that you keep them by your side or leashed. We do have deer here at night and we do not want dogs chasing after them. Please pick up your dog droppings. If your dog is a barker at night then this may not be the place for them. Please show consideration for your fellow hammock hangers.
    - We having running water that is drinkable from a faucet.
    - If you need an electrical outlet we will have a table set up down at the house with power strips. The house is 320 feet from the community area.
    - There is Wifi close by if you need to use it.
    - Sunday when leaving group hang are, Please look around your area before you leave to make sure everything is cleaned up. Please leave the areas in the same or better condition than when we arrived.

    Amenities:
    Parking in field, close in where we will be hanging.
    Port-a-potties
    Running water
    BBQ grill available
    Plenty for field space for the kids and adults to play in

    I put myself down as interested on your FB event. Grandbaby #2 is due on the 9th. If arrival of the little one is delayed, I might not be around. If I'm able to attend, I may bring another hammocking buddy. I'll add myself to the sign up sheet.

    I'm sorry I'm going to miss it this year.
    Last year was QUITE an ADVENTURE, but it gave me my first successful night in my own hammock gear (At COLD temperatures for Me at least!) and both Ted and I had a great time socializing.
    It inspired me to seek out more opportunities!
    This year I'm on vacation the following week, doing a bus tour with my mom out of state, followed by the women's hang, and I just can't fit the weekend before in as well.

    I hope all who go have a great time and enjoy those awesome donuts.. but don't tell me!! LOL!

    What low temperature do you expect at night? I have a 20 degree quilt set and hope it will be enough.

    Right now our nights hear has been in the low to mid 30's.
    You should be find with a 20 degree.
