    New Tarp Came in!!!!

The 13' Winter Dream XL that I ordered came in today. It came about 2 weeks earlier than I was expecting. I have only had a chance to hang it up in my shop and add the guy lines to it but my first impression was "this thing is huge". I have a superfly and a dyneema palace so Im used to that size. This beast is two feet taller on each side and is a foot longer. Im liking it a lot. My plan is to use this tarp as my nasty weather winter tarp. The additional height will allow me to hang the tarp higher and still get it pitched close to the ground to help fight wind.

Just ordered the exact same tarp, color and all...
Paul was awesome to deal with. He helped me through all my questions as I’m hanging it over a Big Guy Bridge. I love my Superfly, but I was looking for something a littler longer and wider.
I also got the center and ends pole mod. Hopefully this will be like hanging in an airplane hanger!
Will use it primarily car camping with the family, and still have the Superfly for longer hikes.
Thank you for the initial review and some reassurance!
Now then, get your weapons--your quiver and bow--and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me. Gen 27:3

Nice! I have two 13' winterdream with both mods for my WB Ridgerunner. Love them both!

I have a hard enough time trying to find trees to hang my 12' tarp to, while still maintaining a hang angle for my hammock. I can't imagine how it'd be with a 13'

Ooh, nice. I still have a Winter Dream XL on my future buy list for car camping. Talk about luxury. I'd love to see some pictures once you get it set up.

arcana73, You pretty much need 13 ft+ anyway to hang the Ridge Runner. That’s its minimum recommended spacing - though the person who uses mine prefers a 12 apex separation; it’s not as tippy to her. So you are not adding an extra “finding good trees” burden with the 13 ft tarp. That requirement is part of Ridge Runner life and times.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

Yeah, I got a 13 foot tarp for my Ridgerunner. I'd been using an 11 foot Superfly for years, and that does work, but it's nice to have a tarp long enough that the doors can close fully without the suspension triangle getting in the way.
