I'm new to hammock camping--so new, in fact that I don't even have a hammock yet!

    This Hang Out sounds fun!

    I've got a few questions:

Is this event "rain or shine"?

Where exactly in Sipsey/Bankhead are y'all meeting up, and what time will it start?

Is there a nearby area where us ground sleepers can pitch a tent?

Would anyone be willing to let me try their hammock and show me how to do the "diagonal lay"?

Thank you very much for your time!

    Hi, iDig-

Yes, We'll be there rain or shine- Our Tarpmasters have us covered (literally). We gather at Wolfpen Hunt camp on the South side of Cranal rd, just past the cemetery if you're coming from the Rec Area. There is plenty of room for ground dwellers. There might even be an extra set up for you to sleep in, if you'd like.
Some people get there Thursday, but I won't be arriving until Fri evening. I;ll be driving from B'ham after work.

I'm bringing my new Trail Lair (SLD) and I'll probably have my little Eno, too. That'll give you a chance to see what they mean about size.

If you have any other questions or need anything, feel free to DM me.

    Charlotte

Oh- and if you're not familiar, WOlfpen Camp is free, but VERY primitive!
No water, bring some. The pit toilet is down the road at the Rec Area.
