Dutch has great products but I don't think anybody offers more options than the Smurfs (DH) !

I'm a side sleeper in bed but sleep in my chameleon at a 45 degree angle, so sort of on my side but not all the way. I change positions much less in the hammock than my bed.

If you sleep primarily on one side, I recommend an asym hammock (bug net, actually). A symmetrical bug net can sometimes end up being annoying for some folks with the extra material sagging inward. Not a huge thing, but something to consider. But like many have said, you may very well end up sleeping mostly on your back. It's what I do and turn to my side from time to time just to break things up a bit.

I'm using a Chameleon and have a Asym bugnet and a Sym winter topcover. I don't really notice a difference in the lay of the hammock with either one. I flip back and forth between left side and right side, its all comfortable. When using the bug net I have it set up as head right feet left in the lay. Even with that its comfortable whether I'm on my left or right side.

I usually fall asleep on my back in the hammock, but during the night I always manage to end up on my side. At home I'm a 100% side sleeper. Even on my side in the hammock, it's more comfortable than on my side in a tent.

I'm a side sleeper.... and I absolutely cannot sleep on my back in a bed, but have found that I can sleep on my back in the hammock.

I've got a wide Chameleon and have opted for symmetrical top and bug net for it - simply because at the time I was purchasing stuff I really didn't know what my lay preference was (if any). I also have an ENO doublenest that I sleep in full time now inside the house.

Like others have said, don't rule out sleeping on your back. I didn't think I'd ever be able to do that - but I do. I've had some issues with getting my top quilt "just right" when it's particularly cold and I'm side sleeping and probably started sleeping on my back occasionally to avoid messing with chilly spots (as I'm also a cold sleeper).

I'd say I'm still a side sleeper about 80% of the time now (especially in the Chameleon) but have a tendency during the night to end up on my back (especially in the ENO).

I have a hard time in my hammock. I'm a belly/side sleeper and wake multiple times at night in the hammock. Today I received a Amock Daumr and hope this is my answer. We'll see.

I am a stomach/side sleeper and haven't (yet) found a GE hammock which works for me, personally (I've tried two, neither of which are high-end options like DW/DH/SLD/etc.). Then again, I am still getting used to my Amok Draumr too. Good luck.
Oooh, shiney! What does THIS button do?
