    Greetings from Detroit

    Hi!

Found this site and forum through a tree climbing forum. I climb trees as a recreational activity, using arborist ropes and gear. Some of us eventually get around to taking a hammock or tree boat aloft to spend a few hours or even a night, in the canopy. Like a lot of others, I have an ENO single nest to start with. Came here looking for info on bridge hammocks, tarps, and under quilts, and any other interesting ideas. Spending the night 40' to 100'+ in the air entails different requirements, like sleeping with your harness on and remaining connected to the climbing rope for fall protection, light weight hammocks and gear, and depending on the location, stealthiness and camouflage. Thanks for letting me in!

Welcome to the forums from northern Oakland County, home of Pine Knob. More power too you hanging that high up! I'd wake up and forget where I am. I seem to recall some threads on the subject in years past. Enjoy the forums and I'm sure you'll find lots of good intel!

Welcome to the forum from the BC Rockies. I'm intrigued by the idea of hanging up so high...no chance of becoming a bear burrito, at least!

I've recently converted to a Ridgerunner bridge hammock after getting started with a gathered end hammock; not looking back. Much less of a fussiness factor with the bridge = instant comfort and better sleep for me.

Thanks for the welcome! I know a couple of climbers who are members here already. Here are a couple of photos to give you an idea.
