I mean, taking someones good idea and turning it into a money maker is the American way, but at least throw a little credit where it's due while you are at it. It was a very clever idea.

I'm wondering if these would actually be good in frozen ground due to the small-ish diameter?
I'll get some eventually to try. Figure 9s, LineLocs, Flyz...I like trying different things.
Fair enough, perhaps it was. Perhaps they collaborated and the originator gets a cut of every one. That would be pretty fair. Who knows?
They were introduced about 5 and a half months ago. It was only mentioned that people had been asking for them for years.

It's not impossible that Dutch had the exact same sketch in his notebook prior to Decide 2016. As OneClick mentioned, when Tyst Död shared his sketch on a public forum, he basically put it in public domain. In any case, his sketch included elements that are derived directly from Dutch's bugs. I'm not saying he would have wanted to claim IP for the idea, but if he had any interest in protecting his idea, asking a manufacturer "have you ever thought about making this?" and providing a sketch is probably not the best way to do it. Doing that should in no way entitle him to a cut or obligate Dutch to offer one. This is business after all. If Tyst Död is still into the hobby, maybe he'd just be glad he can now buy what he was looking for.
The best of all worlds. Dutch has had the bug angle covered for a while. If Tyst Död is still into the hobby, maybe he'd just be glad he can now buy what he was looking for.
