I'm planning on buying a complete hammock setup very soon. Let me start with some background so you might know my needs. I'm a hiker, that said lightweight is key. I'm not afraid to Cary a few extra oz if it makes me happier, but it NEEDS to be well justified.
Here's my gear picks so far(they can be changed though):
Dutch chameleon asym with double woopie(for future use) and 4ft treehuggers.
Loco Libra Operator series ghost pepper 20* 3/4(50in) and habanero 20* UQ
Two tarp flyz used on both ends of tarp Ridgeline with HG tarp sleeve.
What's missing is the tarp. For this im stumped. I only want to spend around $100 and I would like to keep it simple here. I'm only planning on doing 3 season camping but I live in a cold state and do go alot in shoulder seasons. Also, I'm not sure about side pullouts. Are they really nessesary? What's the benefit of hex vs rectangle, etc... What are your thoughts on the WB mammajamma? What about mammajamma doors? Any suggestions to me about tarps or other gear pics for my needs?
Thanks all! This forum has been VERY helpful to me. This was especially true in my last thread about underquilts.
