First time out with a whole new hammock setup

Just got an 11ft netless hammock from Dutch and a 12ft tarp with doors from Hammock Gear and this was the first time taking them out, made some diy whoopies and straps specifically for this setup and it slept amazing last night. A little bit of calf ridge at first but I adjusted the foot end and it disappeared. Best night I’ve ever spent in a hammock, slept like a baby! Big thank you to everyone at Dutchware and Hammock Gear!

Enlighten those of us who haven't used the Dutch netless, what adjustments did you make in simple language (some of us are slow to visualizing stuff)

I just raised the foot end about 6 inches, not too much of an adjustment but if the calf ridge isn’t too bad it eliminates it. When using an 11ft you don’t get calf ridge as much as in a shorter hammock so you end up with less fiddling around to get rid of it

A netless in Florida? Are you using this only in the dead of winter?

Just until I buy/make a bet for it. I haven’t ever used one because I’ve found that for the most part some bug spray around my neck area and a sleeping bag or military “wubbie” by the face keeps the mosquitoes and noseeums at bay lol
