I may have missed it but did you order a tarp from LiteAF?

I'll hopefully have it out a couple times before I take it on my 4 day trip to North Manitou Island. It'll be my second time backwoods camping there. Really looking forward to it!
congratulations! if I would have know LiteAF was coming out with a DCF tarp with doors I would have waited and ordered one myself. I ordered a HG tarp with doors back in November, if LiteAF offered ths=e tarp with the blue DCF I would have ordered one and sold the HG.

I used Tarpworms with zingit for a few seasons. My first change was to replace the zingit with ZPacks 1.2 Reflective Z-Line which is similar to Dutch Wire.. it's a bit than zingit and much easier to twist the loop in. Zingit has no no reflective traces and tends to soften over time.. not so with the Z-Line.

The next change, and I'm almost embarrassed I didn't do this sooner, is to switch from Tarpworms to Linelocs. I am still using the 1.2 Z-Line and typical Lineloc 3's won't work. I had a bag full of Lineloc 3 Hooks and didn't want to buy more so I cut a small slit in the V that captures the line to accommodate the smaller cord and it works like an absolute champ. A year ago I would have told you I would never change from Tarpworms... now all three of my DCF tarps have them.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

I do like tarpworms... I haven't decided what to do with my new tarp yet. I have a bit of time. Going with the solution I've set up hundreds of times is appealing though.

I may need quite a bit of tree therapy to get past leaving my DIY tarp behind. I've always felt so good sleeping under something I made. I am looking forward to the DCF tarp and better weather protection.

The 10oz it saves is nice too, but not my primary concern. I am a ham radio operator, and will be dragging some (not quite) lightweight radio gear and batteries with me.

It was probably low 40s or upper 30s and windy with the occasional gust. Was able to get a pretty good pitch. No issues with getting taught without cat cuts after a quick reposition on 2 stakes. Overall I couldn’t be happier!
