after all the blowing and wiping (on your sleeve or wherever you do it) I personally need to use vaseline or similar medicated moisturiser (I like Mecca ointment for burns and stings) otherwise I get horrible dry / damaged skin for a few days after.
I've even smeared a bit of my chap stick through the day using my clean-ish baby finger.

That can be very painful! I bought 5 tiny tubes of Aquaphor on ebay cheap. I can sort of refill them too. About the size of my thumb so I keep them in a few different locations (coat pockets, backpack).

Also guilty of the chapstick in a pinch...with the pinky LOL!!!

This is where keeping your foot end slightly elevated helps.

As for lip protection, I get severely chapped lips when my nose is runny in the cold. Someone on here turned me on to Dermatone a couple of years ago and it has been a life saver. Great for your entire face and helps protect against wind burn an frostbite as well.

Ah, chapstick. I can't leave home without it, and in a pinch it comes in real handy for lots of things.

I remember one year when my brother put on some weight and started chafing, chap stick was the only thing he had handy to try to remedy his...um...situation. He was very careful not to use that tube of chap stick for its intended purpose ever again.

I'm gonna need to pick up some of that there Dermatone. I've been experimenting with cold weather hiking and running and nearly ended up with frostbite on my face the other night.

(Dang it, does anyone know how to fix that rotation problem? ^^ I'm supposed to be a software guy, but this escapes me.)

Sometimes the runny nose can be because if allergies - like Juniper Trees and such. If some OTC anti-sniffles medicine can help.
In order to see what few have seen, you must go where few have gone. And DO what few have done.

My allergies hit hard during Hangcon this year. Grabbed my bandanna from the pack and the Benadryl from the first aid kit. I hung the bandanna from the ridge line when not in use. Apologies to my neighbors for the honking. Thankfully the meds kicked in and I passed out.

Malcom, I don’t know how to fix it after the fact, but I do know how to PREVENT it. Edit your photo on your phone, changing it to upside down and saving it, then changing it back to right side up and again saving it. Do this on all photos BEFORE you upload them here. Then they will always load right side up here!

Wear a Balaclava, or something thin that covers your face. It prevents the runny nose.
