I did a one branch hang out there in the youth area. Tarp and all. Across the field from us a herd of deer bedded down for the night with us. That way cool.

Is there a water source out there, where we can filter water?

Ohdogg 79, Hope you're still planning on coming out this Friday. As you come South on 471 the trial head is on the Right hand side of the road. If you cross a bridge and see Colt Creek State Park you've past the Trail Head. Since I've never come south on 471 I can't tell you what to look for to know you're almost at the turn. However it is a steep downhill turn and the enterance can be very pitted with holes so take it SLOW!! The walk back to the camp site is about 1.5 miles. It is all on the Florida Trail, and well marked with Orange Blazes. The only section that you may have a bit of a problem is within the last last 1/3 of a mile. The Florida Trail pops out of wooded area on to a wide Sugar Sand Track used by the horse riders. You will need to make a hard right turn as hit this track to see the next Orange Blaze. It is on a post about 3.5 feet tall, and may not be hard to see due to an over hanging oak tree branch. I will try and remember place a or draw an arrow in the sand where you need to make the turn. If you have any Questions or lose your way, call me 561-635-3399. It should be light until 6:30 Friday evening so you should be in camp by that time and you may run into several others coming in about the same time.

Is the hang right at 471 (the link posted above) or is that just the trailhead? I’ll be working until at least 4 so wouldn’t be to the TH until 5:30 at the earliest.

    3) Moonshiner
    4) O-Boy
    5) Kevinmack
    6) Floridahanger
    7) Ohdogg79
    8) Deer hunter

We're missing some other locals. Anybody else want to come out and play in the Florida woods while we hit the low 40's?
Very few more chances if any to get out while it's this cold in Florida.
