This question is halfway between here and DIY. I am hoping to modify my hammock by adding a UQ permanently (it was mentioned recently). My question is why are the UQ so wide for summer weights. If a pad can work, why not have loose insulation be similar widths? I'm thinking 3ft by 6.5 ft attached to the center in such a way that it would flex to allow lofting.
Is there any reason a 3ft wide unerquilt would not work?
thanks,
