Clark/Junlge Hammock

What is your opinion on the clark hammock/Jungle Hammock? I know you cant get them right now, but I am curious of your opinions.

I used one for about 10 years but I sold it a couple of years ago. I thought it was very well made and bomb proof. However, they are short and less comfortable as a result. I am 5'6" tall /130 lbs and when I bought my WB XLC 2.0 I was amazed at how much more comfortable it was. My Clark was not uncomfortable, but it was not nearly as comfortable as my 11 foot XLC.

I’ve had one since 2007 but like carmen2 said they aren’t very big. I too moved to a warbonnet XLC and it was like moving from the trailer park to the gated community

they are incredibly durable though and I had no complaints other than the amount of space. I’m 6’2”, 200 pounds and that Hammock was not designed for someone of my size.

This guy is a bit of a shill, but it does look like a fantastic sleep system with his clark.

I'm 6'3" and have no problems with the king-size Clark NX-270. It is the only system you simply buy and put up without a lot of add ons needed. Very impressive system.

Right now Clark are sold to a new owner, and are expected to be up and running soon.

My buddy Hickery sure likes his Clark. He carries it about half the time.

I love my Clark nx-270 and am 5'10" 190 pounds. My coldest night out have been sent in my Clark. Nowadays I only really use it in the summer on canoe/kayak trip since it's usually warm enough in the Clark to not use any underquilt.

This video gave me the impression that the Clark design is flat like a bridge, but in looking at it, it seems to be a variant of a GE design. How flat do they lay? Any issues with knee hyper-extension or calf ridge? Can you lay straight down the center (like a bridge) with an air mat, or are they meant for a diagonal lay? I'm looking for something like a Ridgerunner, but wide enough for a guy 6'2" 250# with shoulders like a Wookie to use with an inflatable pad. Is this it? Thanks to all who reply.

Don't have one but would love to try a Clark someday.

Here's the latest news if you haven't heard. Company sold to Dutch so should be the same quality that Gary had. Also maybe some newer added models and improvements to come.

I have an NX250 that is here to stay. I have slept in it on a full time basis about 300 nights. I bought it as my first hammock in 2012 I think. While it has not seen service in a few years, it definitely has a home. It shows very little signs of wear. I’m in a WBRR now for every night hanging, and have a Raven or two that fill in when I feel like it. I don’t expect any of them to deliver the mileage that old Clark NX250 did.
