I'm trying to wrangle up interested friends to come join us. Nobody has committed yet, but there is still time.
I plan to discuss details for a 12 mile overnight trip on the extension trail while sitting around the fire. Planning for it at the end of March.
Looking forward to getting my camping season started.
A day camping in the rain is better than a good day at work,

tsshaw78 is too hard to say on the trail - Just call me Shaw.
Shaw, count me in. This will be an adventure camping trip. Mooseman’s been saying he might go2.
Looking like I will have clinicals out of the way, but waiting on my state exam date. Fingers crossed!

Yes, since this will be after Yates. We can def talk, plan and come up with something. I have a few others that may be interested if it's a leisure walk/camp in the woods and not an endurance challenge. Lol
Yates - Spring forward Hang. I've got it on the calendar and ready to see old friends again.
While I'm on here. Let me take time to announce and invite you to a TSH hang the weekend before this one.

Mooseman, this is great genius, central NC hangs on successive weekends. Consider how Gorge Rats have hangs in Gorge over a continuous ten day span covering two weekends.
This gives most everyone a chance to hang with at least some of their friends in Optimal Weather and possibly match their busy schedules.
Suppose Heartthrob is heavy rains all weekend—
No problem, All can hang at Yates very next weekend or it can be flipped—ten day forecast shows bad weather for Yates, with Sunshine at Heartthrob!
Do you see anything but good if Everyone can attend both hangs or either hang?
Mooseman, We thank you and all Tarheel State Hangers for warm welcome and hospitality.
And extend our welcome to them on all hangs.
Mooseman, now that your physical therapists have gotten you buff and I’ve gotten out of shape
...if you’d be so kind as to carry most of my gear up trail at Shaw’s backpacking adventure.
I'm in, though I may spend the whole weekend in my hammock. This house we bought is kicking my butt.. There are soo many repairs after we dig into any project. The previous owners just polished over things instead of fixing them right. Where is Mike Holmes!?!

Learning by doing, Jack of All Trades.
Keep your feet on the ground and your minds in the woods!
I'm planning on being there. I'm hoping it won't be rainy though.
Edit: not too rainy. a little is fine
