Tazmaniac, Scouts and paracord...
Knots and lashing by Scouts with paracord, watch out! I hope they enjoyed your hammock demonstration. Some of them are thinking about hammocks to get them high and dry—off the ground.
If you show any hammocks at Yates, we will be glad to see them.
At Grayson, WV or West Virginia as Dutch calls him, demoed a unique bridge hammock of his own making. I never saw one like it, and although I’ve never been comfortable in a bridge hammock.
I tried it out—Taz, WV’s bridge hammock was very comfortable!
Bama, Yates is calling you.
As I speak, plans are on drawing board, with dreams of being a top alcohol stove burner!
Bob, Peeeeetey, Hickery, I’m implementing a secret new stove that will make you stop drinking coffee!
I'm looking forward to it
Not all those who wander are lost
Yes it will

Are any kids practicing their hammock and tarp set up? Depending on what y’all want, we might divide up in two or three teams.
Practice safety first when putting strap higher than you can reach while standing on ground.
Ok to use a cane to push strap up where you want it.
Speed is important, but a good setup always beats a bad setup
Don’t ask me how I know...
PRIZES will be awarded!
All decisions by judges are final
In case of a tie, you might have to do a bottle flip onto ground from hammock, while telling a knock knock joke.
This Spring there will not be a most Blinged rig contest...
In its place will be a contest for least amount of hardware on your hammock&tarp—entire rig.
In case of a tie—tiebreaker could be
Overall neat setup
Ease of use—ease of set up
Slip resistance
Adjustability
Jam resistance—how easily and quickly your knots, buttons, hitches can be untied.
Marlin spike hitches are allowed and encouraged especially if you use a found stick or have folded excess strap or amsteel accordion style to function as toggle.
I will not be entering this contest—might be judge!
