Kenny Ray might be planning a backpacking hike possibly with overnight camp. Plans are sand plans and not yet set in concrete! Early!
I agree with Phantom, that is roughly 38 km/23 miles. A bit much even for an easy to moderate trail.

Two Speed anyone who has backpacked both the AT and PCT from end2end, can do aforementioned day hike.
Are you gonna hike with no pack, slack pack, or carry enough gear to hang overnight if you choose? You are a tougher man than me. You are more likely to have fellow hikers if you cut mileage down a wee bit!?
If the Uwharrie Creature devours you—we will divide your gear amongst ourselves!

Hello Yates! Matt and I will be headin down. dirty water dogs from NY are the best. sauerkraut and mustard. A good chili dog does hit the spot. any interest in "off site" activity? See y'all soon.
I'll see what I can do about a fresh flan for you PG.

Gas&Matt our prodigal Dad&Son, y’all are in the know, which dogs are any good. Wait till you discover WVA hotdog
And gaggas dogs. Some like mustard and some like ketchup and chili, while world travelers like em cooked in beer

There are several parking options if other folks want to go I'm open to suggestions. I'm going to take lunch maps(compass and GPS) and water/water filter stuff.

I found some good maps from the Neusiok Trail Forum

    http://www.neusioktrail.org/NTForum/...-hiking-trails

23 miles will be painful (read as fun) but do-able I'll look for some other options if folks are interested in a 10+ mile hike. If not, I understand we are Yates and will try to bust it to make it too camp by hotdog buffet time.
