I plan on bringing some Nathans hot dogs, they are large like what Sams sells in their snack bar. We need to discuss the many ways hot dogs are done. The Tazette (from Middletown, NY), likes them steamed in a double boiler with Coney Island chili sauce on them. She has offered to send me with some if people from the South are interested in something different. I like mine on a grill or griddle and Hormel no beans chili is fine for me. I have been to famous The Varsity in Atlanta Georgia and that chili was similar but different than Coney Island. Please discuss what is interesting to you so we can try a variety. As usual, I sense we will have too much so a bit of Tupperware for just in case will be handy to bring. I think I could freeze the chili sauces and use for ice until Saturday night.

    Phantom Chili

In dark of moon, put an old shoe in cast iron pot, cover in spring water, let soak over night. In morning toss in some road kill, one pack Uwharrie chili seasoning, cover with beans. Cook over open fire until aromatic. Before serving, throw in one medium potato to calm this concoction to suit, adding salt to taste...

I love the Nathans but just like-um grilled over (Fire,Coals or gas grill) never had them in the chili sauce but I'm game!

My favorite are probably a Sabrett® or good quality all beef frank.

We may want to bring a few wiener roasting sticks, I have two I can bring.

I will help Taz and will bring the following : One (2 burner gas stove) for morning coffee and help with Sat meals. 1 EZ-Up tent.
Two Winnie telescoping poles (Metal sticks)
One pot of Hot Dog chili (No beans, not spicy) just for topping the DAWGS!
12 pack of buns, 1 chopped (sweet Onion) and 1 container of Red Slaw (Vinegar based)
    Weeeee Dawgies

Nothing beats a dog with chili and slaw except maybe a burger dressed the same. Or both

If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.

I lean more towards the milder side of chili and Max out around medium.

Me too. I am not a big fan of the "meet up with you tomorrow " chili.

I'm bringing a 2 burner coleman as well. And I also have the single burner "backpacking" one as well. I guess once upon a time that was a lightweight stove!
