I can't wait for Yates . . . . . . but PG gave me approval to post and invite all to another Group Hang the weekend before Yates!
This is a smaller event than Hangsgiving and less (headache) frills and no fundraiser. lol

Where- Falls Lake Recreation area (NC State Park) near Wake Forest, NC
When - Feb 28th - March 1st ( Weekend before Yates Hang)

Wake Forest, NC 27587 BTW - The park posted problems with Apple assisted GPS so if you have that prob just use another mapping service.

Those chili and do-do jokes have no effect on me, no sir, not one iota. This is due-to sheer force of focus, sterling personality honed to razor sharp brilliancy during post graduate studies at Sam Houston Institute of Technology.
While hanging in my hammock one warm summer afternoon, I spied a rabbit doing its business! After communing with nature and all our universe has to offer I fell into a deep trance. Upon awakening, I had zero worries about health, money, or day to day problems. Now all I have to-do is reminisce about that summer day in my hammock, and I can eliminate exactly like that rabbit. Making small clean biodegradable pellets with no odor. Saves on toilet paper, and now only shower every couple a weeks...

I am going to put this on my calendar and try to make it. I haven't been to a hang in quite a few years. Never stopped hiking though. This is one of my favorite spots!

Tom-tom, how are you fairing with your cold? And has your tarp been repaired by Avery at OutdoorsmanOutfitters?
If nothing else you can Bushwhack and Bushcraft a new hammock shelter. Those videos by Really Big Monkey are entertaining as well as informative. What I like best, after watching one of his videos, a sense of calmness surrounds me to the core of my soul—very relaxing, with no cares for the busy world.
